Textile Description

This particular piece is composed of a cotton and polyester blend, woven using the supplementary weft technique. The plain weave appears in Merah Hati (liver brown), a deep reddish tone traditionally associated with inner vitality and earth-bound strength. This is contrasted with shimmering kencana (gold) threads in the supplementary weave, adding an element of sanctity and elevated presence. Together, material and form transform the Pasang Surut into a vessel of intention, ritual alignment, and symbolic restoration.
